Dai
This series is a modern interpretation of the Renaissance, with the added softness of the female gaze. It reflects how I perceive my dear friend Dai as a person: elegant and graceful (with a soft and refined demeanour), confident, professional (displaying a serious and responsible attitude), creative, playful, and free. The meaning of the name Dai is “large; to shine”. It is a Welsh short form or nickname for David. Which circles back to the Renaissance sculpture ‘David’ from Michelangelo.
